WITG x Fundamental Edge International Stock Pitch Competition
The Wharton Investment and Trading Group is hosting the second annual WITG x Fundamental Edge Stock Pitch Competition at the University of Pennsylvania. The WITG x Fundamental Edge Stock Pitch Competition is an opportunity for students to explore public equities investing by identifying an undervalued or mispriced company and constructing a detailed analysis of the potential investment idea.
The competition is open to all university undergraduate students across the United States and internationally who wish to participate. Teams are allowed to cross-register with undergraduates from any school and are able to register in groups of 2-4.
Fundamental Edge seeks to equip high-achieving buy-side professionals with the frameworks & tools they need to accelerate their performance and navigate the intense demands of a career on the buy-side. In this respect, the WITG x Fundamental Edge Stock Pitch Competition is designed to allow students at 4-year institutions to foray into the world of investing - by registering for the competition, we will provide educational resources along the way to hone your skills as an investor and presenter. Fundamental Edge is led by Brett Caughran, a former Analyst & Portfolio Manager at Maverick Capital, D.E. Shaw, Citadel, and Schonfeld. Finalist teams will have the opportunity to present their work to and receive feedback from seasoned investment professionals from prominent investment firms.
First Round Guidelines
Prepare a 1-2 page summary in PDF format of your thesis, analysis, and a preliminary investment recommendation. The summary should be analytic/predictive rather than descriptive. Feel free to use bullet points whenever appropriate.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Please provide a concise company and industry summary, clearly articulated investment hypotheses, qualitative and quantitative analyses, and an assessment of potential risks and catalysts
